In my estimation it should have been the authorities who treated a bunch of light brights like a terrorist thread.
It was they who wasted thousands or millions of dollars (depending on news story) to “take care” of a non event.
The excuse of THE POST 9/11 WORLD is getting more tired that Ross’s “We were on a break” refrain.
Apparently before Sept. 11 nothing bad ever happened to anyone anywhere in the world.

Yes there are terrorists, have been for quite some time. All over the world. None to date have been known to have an affinity for either cartoons, light brights or situations that call attention to what they are planning to do.
It is wonderful they found someone to take the fall. It is just too bad they got the wrong person.

I happened to be watching CBC News on tv that day and there was Peter Mansbridge solemnly intoning about terrorists in front of a screen with a Mooninite on it.
I laughed at first – Hey! Adult Swim! – but then I got quite creeped out by the whole media escalation. The bomb squad guys were just doing their job; they weren’t the ones asking passersby how much they were reminded of 9/11 in time to make the noon news.
I guess I wasn’t on this planet, for I don’t remember hearing about that.
But I do agree that terror threat is the fear card used by administrations to justify their paranoia, racism, bigotry, arresting and holding people without just cause, and other idiotic, dangerous behaviours, while our civil liberties and human rights are being trampled upon. This ‘art’ was honed to perfection by the Bush-Cheney administration. Our dear leader couldn’t wait to jump on the bandwagon. Of course, the neutered corporate msm aids and abets in flamming the flames.
btw, please tell me what/who are the ‘light brigths’ and Mooninites?? Where/when did this incident take place? …. guess I haven’t been watching news lately.

Keeping the public in constant state of fear & suspicion keeps Bushco up and running, and the sheeple docile while their rights are eroded further. Naturally, CNN and its neutered msm counterparts gleefully fanned the flames. Anything to up the ratings! How bizarre! The world must have had a good laugh at ‘those crazy Americans’. And I had my tv off during those days, missing all the excitement 🙂
