Does anyone use the Alexa toolbar? I’ve read everything from it’s a must have add-on to it’s vile spyware that slows down your computer and puts your info at risk.

All “toolbars” are nasty. Alexa, is one I would trust the least however.
I was removing crap from a Laptop a couple weeks ago (not mine. I dont let anything like that get onboard *knock on wood*) and there were no fewer than 4 of them hidden all through, and the bits and pieces of all the spyware and malware that otherwise intelligent people let thru.
The Hijackthis log was a hoot!
Beware google, yahoo, anybar. lol.
I blocked Alexa from indexing our site for a while. (their bots were mucking up my logs and it pissed me off.) We have no interest in being part of big corporate web statistics. Heh. Bite me corporate overlords.
I have Alexa Toolbar and Google Toolbar. They offer a lot of quick information that I need for work. I have found that it has helped me a TON. But then again, I work on the Internet at my home office so I may have a different opinion than others!
