The year is what the moderators agreed is the minimum time to let pass before hearing an appeal for reinstatement on his indefinite ban. It was agreed to by Wayne.
All further enquiries can and should be sent to Wayne if you dont agree with the moderators’ decision. He is the owner of this site and the final authority.
I believe coordinated efforts are always best therefore I have created a petition which will be sent on to Wayne Chu owner of Progressive Bloggers.

Unfortunately the web filtering at my hotel prevents me from accessing advocacy sites but I will sign it as soon as I am back home. In the interim, I hope this post will serve as notice to the moderators of my intention to sign the petition and I will try to let others know.

Finally getting a sense of this (my trip has interfered) but it does seem that the comments were offensive, stupid and typical of a certain type of diatribe? But I suspect, especially with the apology, that he shouldn’t be barred from a group like PB. For me, personally, it means that I will tend to be very wary of any of his postings.
I’ll sign, though.
OK, so I’ve obviously been away from the Blogosphere for a couple months or more. Can anyone tell me wtf has gone on? Robert, banned from ProgBlog, makes absolutely no sense! He’s one of the most progressive bloggers out there… 😕
