Speak your mind even if your voice shakes
As you may have noticed the board has been down for a while now. We moved hosting and some of the furniture, tables to be exact got lost along the way.
I am working with the technicians at Hostgator to try to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. I appreciate your patience and apologize for the inconvience.
The blogs, however are all up and running.

The last few weeks have been very busy, not so much with front end blogging but with back end tweaking (file that under things that sound dirty but aren’t)
After the very busy and lengthy Bread and Roses forum overhaul, I did the forums over again completely using Brian Gardner’s beautiful forum templates. They are much smaller, easier on download and well built. Brian also designed the Revolution template that AR runs on. Again a well designed, well coded template makes all the difference. How could a leftist not love a template called Revolution?
I’ve been trying the various trial versions of 2.5 and I’m quite impressed. The image handling might prove interesting for those on older computers, but it is certainly an improvement on the old style. For anyone who likes to show off their digital pics the gallery abilities will be welcome. Spent yesterday uploading the new version to all the Bread and Roses sites and updating and fixing plugins to make sure they were compatible.
I added this theme Massive News Mobile and a theme switcher. Don’t know how much use it will be but it seemed interesting.
I redid a site for a client on a template that seemed simple enough but was a PITA, came out well though. Sadly this was strictly gratis. Sigh.
Coding skills and graphic abilities are getting a workout.

Thanks guys for suggesting that we are over reacting. Perhaps if as fern suggested you read that pink blog aka Birth Pangs once in a while you would be cognisant of the fact that this is exactly how rights started being eroded in the states. You would be aware that this isn’t a few “Bread and Roses women” getting their knickers in a knot. The NeoCons start with women because they know how to pick their targets. They know the partisans will gladly throw the women under the bus. Women and children first, eh guys?
It won’t stop with us. Perhaps you have read about the little spot of trouble with habeas corpus? The pronouncing of the Geneva Conventions as quaint? I’ll let you in on a little secret guys…..it’s the same people.
Don’t worry about us though, we’ll be over here fighting the same fucking fight we have been fighting for years. But when your party finally gets the fortitude to force an election don’t fucking count on our vote!
Spent a busy weekend updating Bread and Roses.
We now have updated software and whole new look. In fact 3 whole new looks as there are 3 styles to choose from.
Some minor tweaking still being done.
Total hours slept….maybe 10.
I want to thank our Techno God Steve for going above and beyond in helping with this install.
