Are you tired of voters laughing when you show them your poll? Would you like to regain confidence in your election?
oops that was the spam file.
Again and again we read of the unwillingness of Liberals to actively participate in the actual process of politics. It seems they have decided that whinging about the current government while voting for their neo-con agenda [or refusing to participate at all] constitutes opposition.
Anyone who listened to the Liberal election call of ” a vote for the NDP is a wasted vote” must be wondering if in fact a vote for the Liberals is not only a wasted vote but a vote for the conservatives [not your fathers conservatives].
Partisans do love their polls. [oops thought I deleted the spam file] In an effort to educate the Liberals on how the voters feel I am conducting a poll right here.
Why do you feel the Liberals won’t force an election?

Thats fairly childish don’t you think? The NDP is going to notice quite a drop in their support this monday and its due to this type of childishness. You sound like the the BT’s with this type of post. None of the options in your so called poll are fact based just made up for propaganda reasons. here in Toronto centre the NDP candidate has turned off many people including myself who normally vote NDP and its due to the negative literature coming form HQ that resembles the same stuff the Conservatives do. Thats why we hate the conservatives and their methods Would be nice to hear something positive for a change. I will be voting Green this time. On monday you will notice a lot more doing also for both the greens and liberals. Why waste a vote on the smallest opposition party that no matter what is unable to accomplish much? Its a by-election, not a general election. I want good representation because I am not choosing the PM right now. I’d rather put a new voice in parliament through the greens or throw a vote to the Liberals to enhance their image so they can be an effective opposition. If we vote NDP we are just getting a socialist version of Harper with the same negativity. Don’t think a lot of us voters don’t remember a conservative party that abstained many votes nor do we forget that the NDP for a long period was also propping up the government. The cons/libs/ndp are not in any position to criticize each other on these things. Spend more time getting a positive message out and can the negative trash.

Such a windy response to a satirical post.
“Throw a vote to the Liberals so they can enhance their image.”
Hey you do satire too!

About the best thing about your post, T-roy, is the realization that a vote for the Liberals is a vote for Harper’s agenda, even if I do not think ‘throwing a vote to the Liberals’ will improve their image, just give them more seats in Parliament to support Mr. Harper. I managed to get that out of your fog of negativity.
The rest is profoundly undemocratic and rather silly. To advise people to vote against their wishes because maybe, could be, and perhaps some party may in the future espouse their values runs against any democratic theory I know, and just means you are being sucked in by promises if “the world tomorrow”. A by-election is usually seen as an opportunity to ‘send a message’ to a government, I see this common wisdom has escaped you, you seem to want to send a message to the opposition.
The NDP does by times support the government – it (the government)is formed from largest party in Parliament which earned the right, through the electoral process, to enact it’s vision for Canada.
Nevertheless, it is a minority government, not supported by a majority of Canadian. There are limits upon what they can do, with a minority government they are not elected to make fundamental changes for Canada. Yet, with the support of the LPC, and over the opposition of the NDP and the Bloc (no less) they are doing just that.
The only logical conclusion is that Mr. Dion and his largest opposition party do indeed support Mr. Harper and his agenda they do not have any fundamental problems with what Mr. Harper is doing – in all the various areas he had made changes. (Kyoto, Afghanistan, woman’s issues, various budgets and on and on). He is getting a free ride to change Canada – not by the electorate, but by a compliant opposition.
I too think that the Greens deserve a voice in Parliament, maybe not Ms. May’s voice, but the Green philosophy is one that deserves to be heard – and Parliament is the best place for that. Let us hope they manage to snatch a seat away from the LPC and get some of the representation they deserve.
